 Comment by: phil.davis@inf.org
Reported By: phil dot davis at inf dot org
Summary: Add test cases for invalid checkIPv6
 Status: Open
 Type: Bug
 Package: Net_IPv6
 Package Version: 1.3.0b2
 PHP Version: Irrelevant
 Roadmap Versions:
 New Comment:

The idea for these extra tests came from failing cases in older Net_IPv6
versions. The current code works for these, so no need to change actual
production code.
The original details were written up at:
https://github.com/pear/Net_IPv6/pull/14
https://github.com/pear/Net_IPv6/pull/15
which, of course, never amounted to anything, because that GitHub repo
is not being monitored.

Description:
------------
In the past, strings like ":1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:" would pass checkIPv6 as if
they were valid IPv6 addresses. This behavior was corrected some time
ago. But no test cases were added for these particular styles of input
strings.

Add some test cases for these style of invalid IPv6 address strings.
