Agenda

Bug List

Vote for:

  • P1 High importance, will follow up periodically
  • P2 Important issue, possibly already being worked on
  • P3 Real issue, someone will get to it if they have time
  • moreinfo We need logs, or clarifying information
  • invalid Misclassified, remove the MemShrink tag

6 bugs to triage

  • 978223 - Firefox :: Untriaged - Firefox uses excessive amounts of kernel_task memory and causes the system to pause until firefox is shut down.

    Votes:

Heap unclassified is 4GB, this seems pretty bad. I suggest leaving as moreinfo and seeing if the reporter can do a DMD run for us. The kernel_task part is interesting as well, although some cursory searching indicates that might be due to misbehaving kernel_extensions (think HP drivers etc).

  • 1157546 - Core :: Layout - Track visibility of all frames

    Votes:

I'll defer to seth, if I recall correctly he was pushing for P1. It seems to block a fair amount of other bugs, so that seems reasonable.

  • 1218990 - Core :: Layout: Images - Lock CSS images only when visible

    Votes:

Again I'll defer to seth, this is blocked by 1157546.

  • 1220488 - Core :: Audio/Video: Playback - FireFox memory leaks and issues, rampant on a particular site

    Votes:

moreinfo, a memory report and add-ons list would be useful. They did provide a reduced test case so it's possible we can repro locally.

  • 1221503 - Firefox :: General - Firefox is slow (Windows swapping all the time)

    Votes:

erahm, what do you think? Still didn't get a response w/ add-ons disabled. I'll follow up and request again.

  • 1224577 - Add-on SDK :: General - Leaking chrome windows with basic SDK addon

    Votes:

This feels like a P1, bug in our add-on SDK that's causing leaks. Will need to be uplifted as far as we can go.

mccr8, njn, what do you think?
