All TOCs do it to some extent, but in my experience GA is one of the
worst. GN serving Royston exhibits the same phenomenon, but not to such
a great extent.
I'll be getting a GN train in about an hour, for a one-way trip, and the
Super-Off-Peak (because it's the weekend) single is only 10p cheaper
than the day return.
If I was travelling from Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport, the *only*
ticket for a one-way trip is an Anytime Single. Which is a whole £1.40
cheaper than an Off-Peak Day Return.
